This series of illustrated poetry book covers explores the theme of seasonal change, with each cover representing a different time of year. The Wild Iris reflects spring, Leaves of Grass reflects summer, American Primitive reflects fall, and Scattered Snows, To the North reflects winter. To unify the collection, each cover features an insect from the poems, visually linking the series. The illustrations were initially hand-drawn and later digitally colored in a naturalistic style.
